Daniel Dvoress Wins $25k Short Deck at Caribbean Poker Party

Daniel Dvoress Wins $25k Short Deck

We’ve already told you that Daniel Dvoress won the Super High Roller Bowl Bahamas, but that was not the only high roller played out this week. Several high roller events have played out at the 2019 partypoker LIVE Caribbean Poker Party and big names have taken down titles.

Anatoly Filatov took down the $10k Million High Roller the same day Dvoress won the Super High Roller Bowl. On Tuesday, Adrian Mateos won the $25k High Roller. Daniel Dvoress didn’t rest on his Super High Roller Bowl win and won the $25k Short Deck Event. He defeated a final table that included Phil Ivey.

Anatoly Filatov Wins $10k MILLION High Roller

While Daniel Dvoress was winning the Super High Roller Bowl Bahamas on Monday, the final table of the $10k MILLION High Roller was playing out. The event drew a field of 122 players and the final table included some big names. Anthony Zinno, Kahle Burns, Kristina Hoist, Anatoly Filatov, and Joni Jouhkimainen all made the final.

Heads-up in this event was between Filatov and Fabrizio Gonzalez. Filatov had a massive chip advantage and it wasn’t long before the event was over. In the final hand, Filatov flopped a six-high straight and Gonzalez turned a wheel and committed his chips. Filatov took down the event and the $280,000 top prize.

Adrian Mateos Wins $25k MILLIONS Super High Roller

On Tuesday, the $25k MILLION Super High Roller final table played to a conclusion. The event drew 125 entries and paid 17 players. The final table of the event included Ben Pollak, Niall Farrell, Brock Wilson, Christopher Fraser, and Adrian Mateos.

The results from this event may look a little odd, but that’s because the final two players decided to chop the prize pool. When heads-up was reached, Brock Wilson and Adrian Mateos decided to chop the prize pool and Wilson had the chip lead.

This resulted in Wilson receiving $619,536 in prize money while Mateos earned $520,464. The pair then decided to flip for the trophy and Mateos won the hand to get a shiny trophy. Wilson walked away the winner in terms of payout.

Daniel Dvoress Wins $25k Short Deck

Daniel Dvoress already locked up $4 million earlier in the week by winning the Super High Roller Bowl Bahamas. He then turned around and won his second title of the week by winning the $25k Short Deck Event.

The $25k Short Deck event drew 45 entries and paid out six players. John Cynn min-cashed for $70k and finished in sixth. Isaac Haxton was next out at the final table, earning $95k.

Phil Ivey has been playing well as of late and made another deep run, this time finishing in fourth place and earning $126,250. Chin Lim then fell in third place, earning $175,000.

This set up heads-up play between Daniel Tang and Daniel Dvoress. We don’t know how heads-up play unfolded, but we do know that Dvoress managed to walk away the victor. Tang earned $250,000 while Dvoress earned $375,000 for his second victory of the week.

This time around, Dvoress earned a much more respectable return on his investment. Assuming he only fired a single bullet, he would have made a 15x return on investment. He fired two bullets in Super High Roller Bowl Bahamas and only earned about 8x on his investment.

The Caribbean Poker Party rolls on and will continue through the weekend. There are a couple more High Roller events on tap and the Main Event of the series has yet to be played. We will keep you informed on any major developments and winners from this event.
