Joe Sebok Joins 2+2 to Address ‘FatalError’ and UB Allegations

In response to a recent allegation by Jonathan “FatalError” Aguiar that he was trying to “blackmail” him, Joe Sebok decided to join the 2+2 poker forum and issue an apology to Aguiar for his badly worded private message –the whole affair seems to be blown wildly out of proportion by both Aguiar and the UB Poker haters on 2+2—and also offered to answer any UB related questions the forum may have for him.

Sebok first addressed the blackmail allegations, saying:

“I’ll add to this is that in no way, shape, or form was that message an attempt to blackmail Jon or threaten him, and I don’t believe he thought that legitimately for one second. I was not telling him I was literally going to expose skeletons in his closet, albeit my choice of words was obviously dreadful in that regard,”

In probably the most telling post by Sebok he stated:

“i encourage everyone to read Haley’s latest “just conjecturin’” post. it’s not like i can personally go and examine the servers and understand if hands are missing or not, but it’s very reasonable to believe the previous regime deleted some in order to protect certain individuals that may (or may not) have been part of the scandal.”

This seems to corroborate the latest evidence we have heard from Haley Hintze and Travis Makar pointing to deleted hand histories prior to the new ownership taking over –this also seems like the most plausible reason as any good thief knows they need to cover their tracks, or in this case create a clear line to a patsy that can take the fall.

While the Sebok vs. FatalError issue seems to remain unresolved with Aguiar, the 2+2 conversation regarding the UB scandal seems to be moving in the right direction, with Isaac Haxton (ike on 2+2) and even Tom Dwan (durrrr on 2+2) trying to move the investigation forward in a productive manner –the idea of a new forum where only a handful of people can post has been brought up.

Not surprisingly Mason Malmuth showed up in the thread at this point and issued his own “threat” to Sebok, basically implying that if the semi-private Q&A forum was to take place anywhere but on 2+2 Joe Sebok would no longer be welcome at the site!

Here is what Mason Malmuth wrote in regards to having a platform for UB Poker COO Paul Leggett to answer questions with the implied ban from 2+2 boldened:

“Joe:

He should answer them here. 2+2 is where the poker community is, and since it’s important that as many people as possible get the correct answers, that’s why you started this thread isn’t it? this is obviously the place to do it… By the way Joe, if this isn’t acceptable, then my suggestion would be for you to reconsider your participation here. After all, you’re representing Ultimate Bet, and by coming to 2+2 are reaching as many people in the poker community as possible.”
