Justin Bonomo

The 2020 Super High Roller Bowl Online is officially in the books. While the majority of the preliminary events were dominated by Viktor Blom, it was Artur Martirosian that came in the last minute to scoop the free entry into the $100k Main Event.

The $100,000 buy-in Super High Roller Bowl drew a solid field and had a superstar final table. Ultimately, it was Justin Bonomo that came out on top to win his third Super High Roller Bowl title along with $1.77 million in prize money.

Martirosian Wins $100k Seat

The majority of the Super High Roller Bowl Online preliminaries were dominated by Viktor Blom. The man known as Isildur1 went on a tear during the series, winning three events and cashing in seven. He won $1.55 million.

Normally, that would be more than enough to take a Player of the Series title. However, Artur Martirosian has other plans. Martirosian won Event #16 and went on a killer run, finishing second in Event #26 and third in Event #27 to outpace Blom.

In the end, Martirosian cashed eight times, winning once, and making $1.79 million. The reason that he won the points title over Blom was due to this consistent finishes. In seven of his eight cashes, Martirosian finished no worse than third. Blom had a pair of seventh-place finishes in his runs, and that proved to be the difference.

Martirosian won the $100k seat into the Super High Roller Bowl Online Main Event for his outstanding run. Commenting on his run, he stated, “I am very happy, I spent a lot of effort, time, and emotions during this leaderboard race, but it all ended perfectly. Yes, I was not very lucky in the heads-ups stages, and every heads-up loss upset me, but everything was going great before that, so it would be ridiculous to complain. This is an excellent result, I plan to continue to play all these series and spend even more time working on a game outside the series”.

Justin Bonomo Wins Third Super High Roller Bowl Title

The 2020 Super High Roller Bowl Online drew a solid field of 50 players, bringing together the best and brightest in the poker world. By the time that the final table was reached, we had a murderer’s row of poker talent.

Linus Loeliger, Dan Shak, David Peters, Sam Greenwood, Justin Bonomo, Pauli Ayras, and Michael Addamo all made the final. Sam Greenwood started the final table as the chip leader, but he quickly lost the lead after doubling up both Bonomo and Loeliger. He ultimately fell in seventh place.

Ultimately, it was Aussie superstar Michael Addamo facing Justin Bonomo for the title. The turning point of the match came in a big hand where Addamo folded trips on the river to a massive bluff from Bonomo.

That bluff put the momentum solidly in Bonomo’s court, and would soon dispatch Addamo. In the final hand, Addamo was all-in with queens against K-5 for Bonomo. A king on the flop was enough to give Bonomo the hand and his third Super High Roller Bowl title. Addamo still earned over $1.18 million for his runner-up finish while Bonomo earned $1.77 million for the victory.
This was the third Super High Roller Bowl title for Bonomo. Bonomo won Super High Roller Bowl Macau and then Super High Roller Bowl IV in 2018. Bonomo also finished 7th in Super High Roller Bowl III and 8th in Super High Roller Bowl Bahamas.

Like Poker Masters Online, the Super High Roller Bowl online provided wildly successful. With the COVID-19 pandemic still going strong, we should expect to see other Poker Central events moved online. It is unlikely we will see them run another live series until sometime in 2021.
