Jeep Now Official Sponsor of Poker Central High Roller of the Year Award

The High Roller of the Year Award recognizes the year’s top performer in Poker Central’s series of high-stakes events. This award is not an easy one to win as the player must perform well over an entire year, competing against the top high rollers from around the world and at events ranging in buy-ins from $10,000 all the way up to $250,000.

On Tuesday, Poker Central announced that the High Roller of the Year has its first sponsor. Jeep will serve as the award’s sponsor and should bring greater exposure to Poker Central and it’s high roller events.

Also, Poker Central announced the dates of the 2019 Poker Masters. The event will run from November 1-10 at the ARIA in Las Vegas.

Jeep to Sponsor High Roller of the Year Award

In one of the most significant announcements made by Poker Central this year, the company issued a press release on Tuesday announcing that they have partnered with Jeep as a sponsor for the High Roller of the Year award. The award will now be known as the Jeep High Roller of the Year and will provide significant rewards for the players atop the list at year’s end.

The Jeep High Roller of the Year goes to the player that accrues the most points through major Poker Central events that include the Poker Majors. These events are the U.S. Poker Open, Poker Masters, and the Super High Roller Bowl. The higher a player finishes in the event, the bigger the points multiplier.

The eventual winner of the Jeep High Roller of the Year award will receive a significant prize. They will receive a rake-free entry into all the high roller events at ARIA for 2020. This is a huge prize that will include all major poker events, including the Super High Roller Bowl.

Also, the top five players atop the Jeep High Roller of the Year leaderboard at the time of the Super High Roller Bowl will receive an automatic entry into the event. With Jeep now sponsoring the event, don’t be surprised to see other incentive given to the top finishers as well as additional prizes in major ARIA events.

Poker Central President Sam Simmons spoke on the upcoming event, stating, “The ongoing success of the High Roller of the Year structure and the growth of Poker Central’s events domestically and globally are evident as we welcome Jeep as our partner. Jeep’s support of the High Roller of the Year award demonstrates the broad appeal of poker and the passionate community that surrounds it.”

Poker Masters to Run November 1 – 10

The other major announcement in Tuesday’s press release was the dates for the 2019 Poker Masters. The event will run from November 1 – 10 at the ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. The event will feature a series of events with buy-ins ranging from $10k to $100k with top finishers earning points towards both the Jeep High Roller of the Year and the Poker Masters Purple Jacket.

Ali Imsirovic won the 2018 Poker Masters Purple Jacket and looks to defend his crown this year. Of course, there will be a lot of players looking to take down events and earn points towards the Jeep High Roller of the Year award.

Sam Soverel is the present overall leader with 1,160 points. Ali Imsirovic is second with 995 points. Cary Katz is presently third with 925 points. Stephen Chidwick and David Peters round out the top five. Millions will be awarded during the series and we could see the leaderboard shaken up quite a bit before the series is concluded.
