The win netted Schindler over $2.16 million and moved him up over $17.7 in career earnings. He wasn’t the only person to win over a million at the final table. Schindler Wins Barcelona Super High Roller

The final table for the partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Grand Final Barcelona €101,000 Super High Roller played out on Wednesday with six players looking to take down the top prize of €1.75 million (~$2.15 million USD).

This was a stacked final table that included Poker Hall of Famer Erik Seidel as well as Jason Koon, Bryn Kenney, Jean-Noel Thorel and Stephen Chidwick.

Seidel continued his chase of Daniel Negreanu for #1 on Poker’s All-Time Money List. However, he was unable to make up any serious ground, finishing 6th and earning €240,000 ($295,008 USD)

Ultimately, it came down to Chidwick against Schindler for the title. The pair battled for over two hours and ultimately the match came down to a failed bluff from Chidwick. On the turn, Chidwick checked a board of Ad-4s-2s-5c and Schindler bet 1.8 million. Chidwick check-raised to 5.1 million and Schindler merely called.

When the river fell the 7s, Chidwick moved all-in with after a potential flush filled out. Schindler made the call and Chidwick showed Qs-6h for complete air. Schindler showed As-3h for a wheel and the win.

Schindler earned €1.75 million (~2.15 million USD) for his victory. Chidwick settled for second but added another €1.1 million ($1.35 million USD) to his career totals.

This victory was the second largest cash of Schindler’s poker career. Last year, he scored his largest career cash in the Super High Roller Bowl, finishing second for $3.6 million.

He won a total of $6.11 million last year and already has more than half of that total in 2018. At this rate, he could easily score himself another career year. This is the fifth consecutive year that Schindler has won more than $1 million in live events. He’s presently averaging more than $3 million per year for each of the last five years.

Chidwick Crushing 2018 With Yet Another Final Table Run

Stephen Chidwick is the current front-runner to win the 2018 Player of the Year having already put together $4.23 million in live tournament earnings through April 11.

Chidwick has cashed 10 times in live tournaments, making a final table in 9 of them. He won two events at the US Poker Open and also has three runner-up finishes in other events.

The Barcelona High Roller was his second seven-figure score of 2018. He won $1.29 million last month after finishing 6th in the Super High Roller Bowl China.

In 2018, Chidwick is a serious contender anytime he enters an event, especially a High Roller event. He’s in the middle of a career year, already having won more than $700,000 more than in 2017.

Chidwick has won more than $1 million in live events every year since 2013. He presently has $14.25 million in live earnings and is 34 on Poker’s All-Time Money List.

Considering his current run, Chidwick should be a favorite in any upcoming High Roller event, including the upcoming 2018 Super High Roller Bowl in Las Vegas and the $1 million Big One for One Drop at the 2018 World Series of Poker.
