PokerXFactor.com Review

PokerXFactor is a training site with an emphasis on tournament play. It was started a few years back by noted online pros Eric “Sheets” Haber and Cliff “JohnnyBax” Josephy in order to offer players an alternative to all the cash game training sites out there. So far, PokerXFactor.com has become a valuable resource for many MTT players.

What You Get

PokerXFactor members get access to a large library of training videos, articles, quizzes and forum. The videos provide the majority of the content and they do a great job teaching players how to win at tournaments of all levels. With some of the most successful tournament players on the internet teaching, there is a lot of information to process. Here’s a quick summary of what you get as a PokerXFactor member:

  • Poker strategy videos (600+)
  • Poker strategy articles
  • Poker quizzes
  • Busy discussion forum
  • Pro blogs

Videos are updated every weekday and the majority of them are produced using the PokerXFactor hand replayer. As the hands are replayed, the instructors comment on each hand and explain why they did what they did. There are also a variety of traditional videos that are taken in real time by recording the screen of whoever is playing.

The discussion forums provide a nice place for members to talk with one another about poker strategy, ask questions, share their successes and so on. This is also the place where you’ll get direct interaction with the pros who run the site. If you want to ask a pro anything, the forums are the best place to go.

PokerXFactor.com Strengths

PokerXFactor excels in multi-table tournament strategy. There are few places to go on the internet for such in-depth and detailed tournament advice. The MTT professionals here have stellar track records and they also serve as skilled instructors. If tournaments are your thing, this is the place to join.

The quality of advice is worth a mention as well. These tournament players are not just self-proclaimed experts – they’ve been around for a long time and are documented winners. The advice they provide will undoubtedly help you win more online poker tournaments.

PokerXFactor.com Weaknesses

Cash games are not quite up to par at PokerXFactor. Despite signing noted cash game extraordinaire “Rizen,” the focus here is still on tournaments. You will find some great cash game advice but the volume is still low compared to other training sites. You will probably be happier at CardRunners.com or DeucesCracked.com if cash games are your focus.

PokerXFactor Membership Details

PokerXFactor costs $24.95 a month and has a $119.25 signup fee. The signup fee is a bit steep, but it’s worthwhile. The membership will pay for itself many times over if it helps you improve just one spot in a major tournament.
