Sit and gos are the perfect arena for learning poker, especially if you are new to the game. Your potential losses are limited to the sit and go’s buy-in, the game only takes an hour or so, and you basically get the full tournament experience in a much shorter period of time. To celebrate the launch of our new sit and go strategy section, I have decided to write up a post listing my five favorite SNG resources. The sites below all offer top-notch sit and go strategy advice, discussion, and tips. BTW, if you want to start playing poker sit and gos online, check out our list of the best sites for poker sit and gos.

#1 – SitandGoPlanet.com

I actually know the owner of SitandGoPlanet.com, and used to compete with him in Google for sit and go related terms. The site has been up and growing for several years now, and the current product is absolute gold. Some of my favorite articles from the site:

I can definitely recommend SitandGoPlanet.com as the absolute best static SNG resource on the Internet at the moment, and it keeps getting better month-to-month.

#2 – SixHanded.com

SixHanded.com is a relatively new sit and go website, but one with a very specific focus: to provide players with strategy for beating shorthanded (6-handed) sit and gos. The site has dozens of articles specifically tailored for six-handed SNG players, so if you want to get into shorthanded sit and gos, this is definitely a site to check out.

#3 – TwoPlusTwo.com STT Forums

TwoPlusTwo.com is one of the premier online poker strategy forums, so it makes sense that their sit and go section is equally superb. There are literally 1,000+ topics with tens of thousands of posts, all directly related to single table sit and go strategy. Make sure to check out this summary post which links to all of the best threads, tools, videos, etc from the STT section.

#4 – SNGWiz.com

SNGWiz.com is basically the only software out there that will tell you exactly when to push all in and exactly when to fold in the late stages of a sit and go tournament. Everyone knows that often times you end up in a push/fold strategy, and SNGWiz makes sure that you are always making the correct decision (mathematically).

#5 – ShaunDeeb’s 180-Man SNG Complete Strategy

ShaunDeeb, a popular online poker pro, wrote a ridiculously insightful and complete guide to playing the 180 man sit and gos which have become popular over the past year or two. Deeb explains his exact strategies at literally every single level in the 180-man, until it is over. Highly recommended post.
