PokerStars Unveils 3rd Annual SCOOP Schedule

The upcoming Spring Championships of Online Poker (SCOOP) at PokerStars is shaping up to be the biggest to date. With 38 different tournaments, each taking place at Low, Medium, and High buy-ins, the 2011 SCOOP series will see a massive 114 tournaments play out over the two weeks of the SCOOP series.

The tournament series will begin on Sunday May 8th and run through May 22nd – although the final day’s tournaments are two-day affairs and will be completed on the 23rd. A total of $45 million is being guaranteed by PokerStars –a number that should easily be eclipsed considering the 2010 SCOOP series reached $63 million in prize-money with a similar number of tournaments—and a full 13 tournaments are boasting guaranteed prize-pools of at least $1 million.

The SCOOP series will culminate with the three Main Events on Sunday May 22nd, a day that will see the six SCOOP tournaments that take place award at least $11.3 million in prize money! Here is a look at the three Main Event tournaments scheduled for Sunday May 22nd, 2011 courtesy of the PokerStars blog:

  • 17:00 ET, Ev 38-L*: $109 NLHE Main Event – L, $1,000,000 Guaranteed
  • 17:00 ET, Ev 38-M*: $1,050 NLHE Main Event – M, $3,000,000 Guaranteed
  • 17:00 ET, Ev 38-H*: $10,300 NLHE Main Event – H, $5,000,000 Guaranteed

  • Sunday May 8th, 2011: 17:00 ET, Ev 02-H*: $2,100 NL Hold’em, $1,500,000 Guaranteed
  • Sunday May 15th, 2011: 13:00 ET, Ev 19-M*: $215 NL Hold’em, $1,000,000 Guaranteed
  • Sunday May 15th, 2011: 13:00 ET, Ev 19-H*: $2,100 NL Hold’em, $1,000,000 Guaranteed
  • Sunday May 15th, 2011: 17:00 ET, Ev 20-M*: $215 NL Hold’em, $2,000,000 Guaranteed
