According to WickedChopsPoker.com, Full Tilt Poker has been in talks with a number of Las Vegas based casinos regarding a potential partnership to focus on the USA market, but the buzz seems to be revolving around Station Casinos.

Last week a partnership between one of the largest land-based casino conglomerates and the largest online poker room in the world was announced, as Wynn Resorts and PokerStars declared they would be working toward the passage of legislation to legalize and regulate online poker at the federal level.

In Part 1 of this series I detailed two poker players who I consider to be in the Top 5 Most Hated People in Poker. In the conclusion of this series I will list three players who are light years ahead of Sorel Mizzi, Jamie Gold, and Dutch Boyd in terms of being hated.

These are people with really bad reputations in the poker world –some wholly deserved, some partially deserved—who have very little in the way of supporters defending their actions. So without any further buildup here are my first two choices for the five most hated people in poker:

One of the most prominent free agents in poker is now off the market as 2011 PCA Super-High-Roller champion Eugene Katchalov has signed with PokerStars. Katchalov will become a part of the upper-tier of PokerStars sponsored players, wearing the Team Pro patch.

In response to a recent allegation by Jonathan “FatalError” Aguiar that he was trying to “blackmail” him, Joe Sebok decided to join the 2+2 poker forum and issue an apology to Aguiar for his badly worded private message and also offered to answer any UB related questions.

The Full Tilt Online Poker Series is set to return in April, with the upcoming FTOPS marking the 20th installment of the popular online poker tournament series. In recognition of the 20th running of the FTOPS, Full Tilt Poker is guaranteeing $38 million in prize-money for the 45 event tournament series.

I have to admit up front that I’m not much of a fan of poker on TV –I have a hard time understanding why people want to watch others gamble instead of doing it themselves, which probably makes me a somewhat of a Degen—but all-in-all this season of High Stakes Poker has been a clunker.
