In a previous column I discussed my choices for the five best television poker personalities, focusing on players who had a big personality, whether people liked them or not, considering sometimes villains are better draws then heroes. In this column I will take a look at the five worst television poker personalities.

For a little background: Gambling911.com blasted Dusty Schmidt and Paul Hoppe’s new book, Don’t Listen to Phil Hellmuth. They questioned how a player with zero WSOP bracelets could criticize someone with eleven bracelets. Phil has now commented on the new book.

Week 9 of the PokerStars.net Big Game had plenty of fireworks, none more explosive than the confrontation between Tony G, Daniel Negreanu, and Andrew Robl, and the war of words hasn’t died down yet! Check out this post to get an update on the situation.

There are some players who are flat out boring to watch on TV, and then there are guys who always make a game worth watching. Different players are fun to watch for different reasons, though. For example, Mike Matusow is loud and obnoxious, while Tom Dwan is just a great, creative player.

Poker is full of players who think they are geniuses. Tony G, Mike Matusow, and Phil Hellmuth are three players who do nothing particularly well. It has worked for them because they are now TV poker celebrities. If you really pay attention though, it’s quite clear that these guys are nothing special.

When it comes to chat box discussions, Ziigmund is an expert. He knows exactly how to insult people, tilt people, and how to be downright hilarious. The native of Finland often makes remarks that are unintentionally hilarious, the best of which are listed here.
