With the summer months rapidly coming to a close, I figured this would be a good time to see which tournament poker pros are having a stellar 2010 campaign, and take a look at the top 10 players on Card Player Magazine’s Player of the Year leader-board.
Card Player weights their POY points based on a number of criteria which can be found [HERE].

Mizzi is another Internet hotshot who has proven to be just as adept at live poker tournaments. The Canadian poker pro has a whopping 10 final tables and 5 wins so far in 2010.
3. Jeffrey Papola: 3,420 points
With just 2 live tournaments to his credit in 2010 –a WSOP win and a runner-up finish– Papola has used a massive online run to grab the #3 spot on the Card Player list.

Pilgrim is another prolific tournament player, and this is seen in his 11 final tables and 4 wins in 2010.

Kwaysser had a terrific 2010 WSOP including winning his first WSOP bracelet. Overall the Hungarian poker pro has 2 wins and 3 final tables in 2010.

Proulx has done most of his damage online in 2010, in addition to winning his first WSOP bracelet.

10. Allen Baekke: 3,000 points
Baekke has been tearing up the EPT this year, in addition to his typical online success: A winner at the EPT Snowfest, 12th in San Remo, and a runner-up finish in a preliminary tournament in Berlin.
